Our first steps out of Melbourne to experience a bit more of Australia took us along the great ocean road.
taking in lots Along this Cornwall esk coastline here are a few of the highlights
having set off Early morning we reached Lorne by lunch taking it many view points and beaches along the way.

a coffee and sandwich to keep our energy up we headed slightly inland to see Erskine Falls

a few more stop offs in the afternoon at rivers, creeks and falls as well as spotting a koala bear snoozing up in a tree ( sleeps longer than Freddy I think)

Our bunk for the night was the yha apollo bay in this quite little surfer town. cooking up a nice dinner and playing card games against the Germans.

The second day took in the twelve apostles, cape ottaway and port Campbell, before heading inland through what i imagined rural Australia to be like ( driving on one long straight road for miles with out seeing another soul! ) before finally arriving in the beautiful mountain region of the grampions.
the following day we hiked up pinicle view point which took a few hours of scrambling and climbing to get there, how ever well worth the effort!

before the trek back down past waterfalls and kangroo
